Product Description

1: Brief Introduction Of 5050 aluminum 
5050 aluminum is a 5000-series aluminum alloy: the main alloying addition is magnesium, and it is formulated for primary forming into wrought products. 5050 is the Aluminum Association (AA) designation for this material. In European standards, it will be given as EN AW-5050. A95050 is the UNS number. Additionally, the EN chemical designation is AlMg1,5(C).

Machinability
The machinability of Aluminium / Aluminum  5050 alloy is rated as fair, especially in the annealed condition. However, in cold worked conditions, the machinability is much better than that of the annealed material. Lubricants should be used while machining.
Forming
Formability of  Aluminium / Aluminum  5050 alloy is excellent in the annealed or H32 temper form. The 5050 alloy can be formed with certain amount of difficulty when it is in the harder cold worked conditions.
Welding
Welding of these alloys can be easily performed using all commercial methods. Brazing is also possible after experimental trials to develop parameters are completed.
Hot Working
Hot working can be performed on Aluminium / Aluminum  5050 alloy at 371 to 204°C (700 to 400°F).
Cold Working
Cold working capacity of  Aluminium / Aluminum  5050 alloy is excellent especially in the annealed temper form.
Annealing
After the Aluminium / Aluminum  5050 alloy is extensively cold worked, annealing can be performed at 343°C (650°F) for a suitable amount of time so as to ensure thorough heating and then it can be air cooled.
Hardening
Aluminium / Aluminum  5050 alloy can be cold worked to ensure hardenability.
Applications
Aluminium / Aluminum  5050 alloy is widely used in the manufacture of coiled tubes, refrigerator trim, and builder's hardware.
