444 Stainless Steel Description
SUS444 (00Cr18Mo2) stainless steel is an ultra low carbon nitrogen containing 18% chromium with 2% molybdenum, highly corrosion resistant ferritic stainless steel. The steel is generally used to stabilize niobium or titanium, can avoid the intergranular corrosion after welding. The steel is particularly suitable for use in a variety of water treatment devices.
444 stainless steel is a high alloy ferritic stainless steel, compared with the commonly used steel SUS430: 1. Cr content of about 1.0% higher, and the addition of alloying elements molybdenum (Mo), so the steel has a good resistance to pitting, (Ti), niobium (Nb), zirconium (Zr) and other stabilizing elements, so the steel has the ability to maintain the corrosion resistance, corrosion resistance, corrosion resistance in some areas even better than SUS304 and SUS316.2.
