This specification establishes the requirements for sheets and strips of copper-aluminum-silicon-cobalt, copper-nickel-silicon-magnesium, copper-nickel-silicon, copper-nickel-aluminum-magnesium, and copper-nickel-tin alloys with Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C19010, C19020, C19025, C63800, C64725, C70250, C70260, and C70265. Materials shall be tested and shall conform to dimensional (thickness, width, length, straightness, and edges), mechanical (tensile and yield strength, elongation, and ductility or formability), electrical resistivity, chemical composition requirements.


MATERIALS

1. C19020, known as Leaded Beryllium Copper, is a copper alloy consisting of copper (Cu), beryllium (Be), and a small amount of lead (Pb). It exhibits excellent electrical conductivity, high strength, and good thermal conductivity. C19020 offers exceptional wear resistance and is commonly used in electrical connectors, springs, and switches. Its lead content enhances machinability and reduces galling, making it suitable for precision components in the electronics industry.

1. C19025, also called Leaded Beryllium Copper, is a copper alloy primarily composed of copper (Cu), beryllium (Be), and a small amount of lead (Pb). It shares similar properties with C19020, including high electrical and thermal conductivity, excellent strength, and wear resistance. C19025 exhibits enhanced machinability due to its lead content, making it ideal for electrical connectors, springs, and precision components in industries such as electronics and telecommunications.

1. C63800, known as Aluminum Bronze, is a copper alloy comprising copper (Cu), aluminum (Al), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn). It offers excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good machinability. C63800 exhibits exceptional wear resistance and is commonly used in applications such as bushings, bearings, and valve components.
