Standard Specification for Aluminum Bronze Rod, Bar, and Shapes
This specification establishes the requirements for rods, bars, and shapes of aluminum bronze with Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C61300, C61400, C61900, C62300, C62400, C63000, C63020, C63200, C64200, and C64210. Products shall be produced in tempers HR50, M10, M20, M30, O20, O25, O30, O32, TQ30, TQ50 and TQ55. Products shall be tested and shall conform to dimensional (mass, diameter, length, thickness, straightness, and edge contour), mechanical (tensile and yield strength, Rockwell hardness, and elongation), and chemical composition requirements. Products should also meet requirements under the mercurous nitrate test, ammonia test, and piston finish.

C62300

C62300 is a copper-nickel-aluminum bronze alloy with excellent mechanical, thermal, and corrosion properties. It is used for marine hardware, pumps, valves, and fittings. It has good wear resistance, high strength, and good thermal conductivity. Aluminum Bronzes in general are most commonly used in water applications because of their great resistance to corrosion in a variety of water environments. This makes them preferable to other engineering materials. C63000 is a special high-strength aluminum bronze used in applications involving heavy loads, friction, and abrasive wear and corrosion. The addition of nickel increases the alloy's strength without reducing its excellent ductility, toughness, and good wear resistance.
